Joining the 9th Engaging with Vietnam conference which was co-hosted by University of Social Science and Humanities - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH VNU-HCM) and University of Hawai'i at Manoa, USA, with additional support from Thủ Dầu Một University in Bình Dương and An Giang Province, Vietnam from December 28th, 2017 to January 4th, 2018, two DTCC faculties–Pham Quang Huy, PhD and Nguyen Thi The Ha, MEd–presented their academic work at the part I at at USSH VNU-HCM. The theme of the conference is Touring Vietnam: Exploring “Development”, “Tourism” and “Sustainability” in Vietnam from Multi-disciplinary and Multi-directional Perspectives.
With the title “From policies to activities toward teaching and learning foreign languages”, reviewing policies, Dr. Pham Quang Huy reported recent policies and studies toward improving teaching and learning English and foreign languages, then suggested activities and models for the new period.

Working toward for activities and supports for first-year students’ success at the college, Nguyen Thi The Ha’s (MEd) presentation was on “Learning environmental adaptation of students at Dong Thap Community College”.

The conference also offered a lot of actitivies toward the theme of exploring “development,” “tourism,” and “sustainability” from multi-disciplinary and multi-directional perspectives./.
